There is a little neighborhood park and playground less than a five minute walk from our house. It is a little pocket park right in the middle of our residential neighborhood . Since our neighborhood built in the 50's after the war, I imagine that this park was built for the young families that lived here. It is so quiet here and since most of the original owners still maintain their houses (they are quite elderly and their children grown up and moved on) there are almost no other young families with kids like ours. We rarely see any other kids using this playground.. Although it is very well maintained and the equipment is new, you can close your eyes and almost imagine what it was like when all the surrounding families were young and their children played here together. My 86 year old neighbor tells me that there were 57 children that lived in the houses that encompass our 4 street neighborhood . Since no one knows about it it is like having our own private playground. We are so lucky!!!
Meghan is standing on the fence of one of the houses that border the playground and the hydrangea bush that grows as a border to another home.
They also have an apple tree.....
Which the girls picked apples from
and ate.....
