Michael's Hospital Stay

Yesterday, after a restless night, Michael was admitted to the hospital with a fever of 102...Standard operating procedure dictates that any child under 28 days with a fever over 100 is to be given IV antibiotics and held over for observation for 48 hours until all the tests come back. He had several vials of blood drawn and had a spinal tap which they call a lumbar puncture (I guess to try and make it sound less scary).

So, I am happy to say that his fever broke last night and hasn't recurred so we will be going home tommorrow. Manny has been sick so little Michael probably caught whatever he had...now I am starting to get sick as well....good times...The funny thing is that I was in the hospital having Hailey on the 22nd last year and went home on the 24th..


This one I thought was funny....I took this on the way to drop the girls off at my Mom's today...the hat Meghan has on is a present from our Texas buddies Shannon and Katie! Looks nice huh?

One year ago today you were born, Hailey ... and brought more happiness with your arrival than we thought possible. I fell in love with you from the very first minute I saw you. You have the most unique place in our family because you get to be both a big sister and a little sister. You are my beautiful angel!!

It's Beginning to Look Alot Like Christmas...

Since my camera takes crappy nighttime pics, you can't see how great these lights really look.... But Manny spent 3 days putting up lights and when I came home from the hospital , all the lights outside were up! He bought the tree as well...but that stood in the living room with just the lights on it for 2 weeks. I finally just got around to putting the decorations on. Of course I couldn't go too low with the ornaments since Hailey and Meghan like to pick them off the tree..good thing the balls are only $1.88 at Wallyworld!!

Meghan's 2nd Birthday Party!!

On Saturday the 15th of December, we had a birthday party for Meghan. She had a great time ..except when we sang Happy Birthday (you'll see in the video clip). Some friends from playgroup attended as well as family and Meghan got some great presents.
